I’ve reached that point I always reach where I’m ready to buckle down and get some useful things done, and something shiny distracts me. I have two big things in development that need attention and love, for which I have solutions and just need to commit them to the page, and this other thing comes out of nowhere to demand my attention.

Anyway, this other thing is pretty fun and cool. Autumn spent a pleasant evening explaining the exigencies of small town life to me – illegal punch board gambling, how church ladies fight, the importance of the Quick-Pick, the psychosexual significance of the golf cart.
