Here’s The Hot Lamp, a little roleplaying exercise designed to teach players not to talk to the police. I’m not sure where to fall on the line between mechanical support of premise and trusting the emergence of the behaviors I expect. I need to try it out and see, obviously.

Huh, I’m surprised one of the suspects isn’t innocent. Would that break the everything?
That’s a great idea. I’ll have to try it out both ways. I worry that it would encourage suspects to be very stubborn, but it’s hard to say. If you just stick with “I didn’t do it and I’m not talking to you”, that’s smart but sort of defeats the purpose of the exercise.
